SYNC 4 APIM Replacement or Upgrade Module

This genuine Ford SYNC 4 APIM can be used to replace a faulty APIM or as part of a SYNC 4 upgrade.

For a factory replacement, select Factory SYNC 4 Replacement and provide your VIN. We will pre-program the module to your vehicle at no extra charge.

For custom conversions, please contact us before ordering to confirm compatibility. If approved, select Custom Conversion, and we will pre-program the APIM for your specific setup.

Compatibility

• Works only with large-format SYNC 4 displays
• Does not work with 8" SYNC 4 displays
• Does not work with any SYNC 3 displays

Factory Replacement Notes

• Ships with a recent software version that supports fullscreen Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• SYNC 4 navigation requires a paid Ford subscription. Previous multi-year or lifetime navigation subscriptions may not transfer.
• Without an active navigation subscription, the map will display your location, but destination entry will not be available.
• Apple CarPlay and Android Auto navigation will continue to work normally.
• OTA updates require the APIM’s ESN to be updated in Ford’s database by a dealer. Updates can also be performed with a J2534 passthrough device and a 2-day FDRS subscription. Contact us for more details.
• All APIMs are genuine Ford modules.
