Upgrade your Rivian’s R1 Gen 1 or Gen 2's wireless charging with the updated OEM Qi2 charging pad.
Qi2 adds built-in magnetic alignment, helping your phone sit in the correct position for a stronger, more reliable charge. This is a great upgrade for devices that had trouble charging consistently with the original Rivian wireless charger. In our internal testing, charging output is around 15W.
Fitment
- Gen 2 Rivian: Charging pad only. Fully plug-and-play, with all factory functions retained.
- Gen 1 Rivian: Requires the included wiring adapter when Gen 1 is selected.

Installation
Installation is simple. Use a Trim tool, or flathead screwdriver to release the clips on the original charger, remove it, then install the new Qi2 charging pad and pop the clips back into place. Video HERE.

Quick service. Installation was overall easy. The most difficult part was removing the clip that attached the old pad to the car. I wish the website had a video explaining how best to approach this.
