Sync 4 Navigation Details:

Sync 4 Navigation can be enabled via remote programming for vehicles that came with Sync 4 with navigation from the factory or have been upgraded to a Navigation APIM. Vehicles that came with Sync 1, 2, or 3 factory cannot enable the navigation remotely. The unit must be sent into us to enable. Ford may disable navigation via OTA update. We recommend disabling OTA updates to avoid this. We guarantee 1 year minimum of navigation enabled. Connected navigation requires a cellular modem. If your truck has working FordPass app remote unlock/lock it will work. Connected navigation add's features such as live traffic, weather, predictive routes, live route changes to save time, trailer routing, more POI info, etc.
